At a Glance


    Convention Site

     

     

    The convention site is the Center for Korean Studies, University of Hawaii at Manoa. The Center lies adjacent to East-West Center in a lush, quiet area. Nearby you can find cafeterias, museums, theaters, tea houses, and a Thai pavilion. A honolulu city bus stops in front of the Center. The bus is convenient for transportation to Waikiki and city hotels.


    Convention Registration


    Registration Forms must be submitted with the convention fee by Nov. 1, 2006. For PACA members, the convention fee is $50 if paid by Nov. 1, 2006; $70 after that date. For non-members, the fee is $60; $80 after Nov. 1. The convention banquet is $40 per person.

    Participants will be responsible to make their own reservations by calling Central Reservatons at 800-367-6060 or e-mailing their request to reservation@HTHcorporation.com Rate per room ranges from $99 to $125.

    Banquet

    The convention banquet starts at 6p.m., January 8, in the Marlin Room of Pacific Beach Hotel. The cost is $40 per person. The food will be served buffet style. It includes several entrees, vegetables, salad bar, eight dessert choices, rolls, beverages, etc. The Pacific Beach is a beachfront hotel located at 2490 Kalakaua Ave. The Marlin Room is in the ocean tower of the 850 room hotel complex. Covered parking on six levels is available. Within easy walking distance are the Waikiki entertainment areas, the Zoo, Aquarium, Amphitheater, parks, beaches and shopping areas.

          Post-convention Tour

    Hawaii Grand Circle Island Tour includes round-trip transfers from hotel to Honolulu Airport, round-trip air to Kailua-Kona and a full-day narrated tour. Scenic 260-mile, full circle island tour of the Big Island th includes stops at some of the Big Islands¡¯ most noted places: Kilauea, the world¡¯s most active volcano at Volcanoes National Park; Punaluu black Sand Beach, an orchid and anthodium nursery; Kona and Hilo towns; Hamakua Coast and Parker Ranch,Waimea.
